On the night of May 28, 2006, the 4th Annual Congress of International Drug Discovery Science and Technology, lasing 4 days, came to a successful closed in the World Expo Center in Dalian. This year's conference has attracted leading academic professionals and industrial executives from all over the world.

IDDST has been successfully held four times since 2003. This year' s conference was sponsored by Chinese Society of Biotechnology, World High Technology Society, Liaoning Biotech Association, and organized by Dalian Biteomics, Inc. More than six hundred distinguished scientists and executives from 16 countries and Chinese domestic enjoyed the in-depth scientific symposia, innovative project showcases, venture capital forum and business exhibitions, and social activities.

The closing ceremony consist of contract and project collaboration signing, and the total investment reached 458 million RMB. Also over 80 enterprises had expressed interests in further cooperation in future, including the World Top 500 pharmaceutical companies.

Dr. Deren Xia, the Mayor of Dalian expressed his high appreciation for the conference. He said "The IDDST conference provided a positive platform for domestic and overseas Biotech and Pharmaceutical enterprises, which enhanced the cooperations and communications for future mutual development. It also attracted more and more leading scientists' attention to Dalian."

During the conference, the government and High-tech Zone officers attended various events, and they gave strong support to the project cooperations and Dalian' s biomedicine industries.
