The congress of IDDST, initiated by BIT Life Sciences, Inc., has offered a unique across cultural meeting place of drug discovery in China. In the past five years, the congresses of IDDST have attracted more than 600 professional speakers and 7000 attendees from more than 50 countries to sharing scientific information and seeking business opportunities in drug discovery fields through the annual congress and our tech tour programs in different cities of China. Many world prominent scientists, senior executives, entrepreneurs, and investors have joined us enthusiastically with diversified contributions to each congress of IDDST. This year annual Congress will dramatically increase oral presentations equal to the sum of presentations of IDDST in the past five years.
The history of IDDST

BIT's 5th Annual Congress of International Drug Discovery Science and Technology (IDDST) was an across cultural meeting place for promoting innovations of drug discovery science and technology, which will cover both academic and industrial societies. It encourages the mutual understanding between basic research and commercial purposes. It will seek sustainable development and compensation between public interests and private wealth seeking. The main mission is to provide a platform and bridge for academic and industrial fields worldwide for scientific information sharing and business development. Affiliated with WHTS, IDDST will form close partnership with regional government, private sectors and academic systems. It will be a unique conference place for updating both knowledge and translating cutting-edge scientific outcome and technology into industrial productivity for a new healthier world. This congress will emphasize more on the late stage development and CRO, which can meet the needs of R & D transfers from developed countries to developing countries.

BIT's 4th Annual Congress of International Drug Discovery Science and Technology (IDDST) was held on May 25-Jun 2, 2006 in Dalian and Xi'an. That year's conference had attracted leading academic professionals and industrial executives from all over the world.

IDDST has been successfully held four times since 2003. That year's conference was sponsored by Chinese Society of Biotechnology, World High Technology Society, Liaoning Biotech Association, and organized by BIT Lifesciences. More than six hundred distinguished scientists and executives from 16 countries and Chinese domestic enjoyed the in-depth scientific symposia, innovative project showcases, venture capital forum and business exhibitions, and social activities.
The closing ceremony consisted of contract and project collaboration signing, and the total investment reached 458 million RMB. Also over 80 enterprises had expressed interests in further cooperation in future, including the World Top 500 pharmaceutical companies.

BIT's 2nd Annual Congress of International Drug Discovery Science and Technology (IDDST) was held on November 1-4, 2004 in Dalian, which was authorized by Ministry of Public Health, sponsored by World High Technology Society (WHTS), China Bio-medication Technology Association, Chinese Academy of Medical Science, Chinese Bioengineering Press, Zhen-ao Group, and organized by BIT Lifesciences. Dr. Gunter Blobel, Nobel Prize Laureate in Medicine, 1999, more than 100 domestic and international leading scientists and executives were invited together for new drug discovery. We also invited hundreds of Sino-Chinese bio-medication technology experts who have acquired some achievements abroad, who are studying abroad and who have already returned, and executives from domestic and international famous bio-medication companies. Almost 1000 people attended the conference.

Dr. Gunter Blobel, Nobel Prize Laureate in Medicine, 1999 visited Dalian, Nanjing and Shanghai satellite venues on November 3 rd -8 th with delegation. They were accorded the most courteous reception wherever they visited.

BIT's 1st Annual Congress of International Drug Discovery Science and Technology (IDDST) was a great success. It attracted more than 1000 participants for the conference in Dalian City during October 17-20, 2003. Five leading scientists, Dr. Rolf Zinkernagel (Nobel Prize Laureate in 1996), Dr. Peter Hunter (Member of Royal Society of New Zealand), Dr. Vladimir Khavinson ( Member of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences), Dr. Xiaodong Wang (International Leading scientist in life sciences), Dr. Zuze Wu (Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences) and other 20 distinguished speakers offered lectures at the conference.
